Join Cub Scouts!
The Cub Scouting program is uniquely designed to meet the needs of young boys and girls and their parents, through offering fun and challenging experiences that scouts and parents do together. There are four aims of Scouting: citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership. Come to our Joining Night to learn more and sign up!
Cub Scouts get to enjoy many fun activities such as:
- Camping, fishing, hiking
- Building and racing Pinewood Derby cars
- Building and launching model rockets
- Helping the community
- Marching in community parades
- Most importantly, having fun!
Cub Scouts are organized into Packs, and in the Town of Sudbury, Packs are organized mainly by elementary school. Pack 62 is the pack comprised of Peter Noyes boys and girls in grades 1 to 5. Scouts can join at any grade level and we'd love to have your family join our Pack!
During New Scout Joining Night, we will:
- Introduction to Cub Scouts
- Welcome Presentation to Scouts and Parents
- Scouts will break off and do a Library Scavenger Hunt run by existing Scouts
- Parents Presentation on Cub Scouting
- Tiger Dens and Den Leader volunteers selected
- Q&A
Returning scouts do not need fill out an application form. You will be asked to review your contact sheet and update any new information.
New and transferring scouts will need to complete an application form, which will be available at New Scout Joining Night. Scouts - if you friends are interested in participating, ask them to join you!
Pack 62 welcomes boys AND girls to join the Pack. More information on Family Scouting can be found on https://www.scouting.org/familyscouting
To register your scout:
1. Fill out the contact sheet (PDF)
2. Fill out the Youth Application (PDF)
3. Pay 2019-20 Annual Registration Fee online ($175 fee + $5 credit card fee):
4. Mail completed forms to: Paul Grous, Sudbury Pack 62, 18 Barbara Rd, Sudbury MA 01776
Registration fee remains at $175 per scout for the year and are due at this Pack Meeting.
