New Scout 2024-25 Registration Checklist
- Apply to BSA online: beascout.org (search cub scouting in 01776 zip, and choose Pack 62)
- National/Council Registration and Dues - pay while applying online ($153 per scout, or $168 with Scout Life magazine annual subscription)
- Pack Registration and Dues (due Oct 11): CheddarUp ($180 for first scout + discounted rate for each sibling)

- New scouts, register online at BeAScout.org
- Every scout must pay annual National/Council dues as well as annual Pack dues. See details for each kind of dues below.
- 2024-2025 Dues:
- National/Council Dues ($153):
- New Scouts: Due online during registration at BeAScout.org
- BSA Youth Dues = $85
- Mayflower Council Dues = $68
- (Optional Subscription to Scout Life Magazine = add $15)
- $85 + $68 = $153 (+$15 = $168)
- Returning Scouts: Totals are the same. Registration is due 12 months after when you registered last year. BSA will email about 60 days prior to when your current registration expires. Follow the link in that email to renew for the next 12 months.
- New Scouts: Due online during registration at BeAScout.org
- Pack Dues ($180) (due Oct 11):
- Discounts for families w/ multiple scouts
- All families should fill out the Pack registration form online at CheddarUp (click here), and then either...
- Pay online w/ credit card at time of online sign up
- Pay by check after registering online:
- make check out to "Sudbury Pack 62"
- in memo, add "pack dues, [scout name]"

- What do annual dues pay for?:
- National fees include our enrollment with BSA as a recognized and insured unit.
- Council fees include activity programming by Mayflower Council and subsidize use of camp properties.
- Pack dues cover or at least subsidize many Pack events and expenses (camping expenses, Pinewood Derby, Rocket Launch, sports outings, museum overnights, advancement awards, administrative costs, etc). For events the Pack cannot fully cover, we use these funds as we are able to offset any additional event fees for families. Many Cub Packs, including ours, choose to collect annual dues in lieu of fundraising activities (i.e. selling popcorn).
